~Continuation of Book 1 Chapter 7~
Part 7b: The Key 2

Electricity worked its way down Byakko's arm and clung to Tasuki, every nerve in his body danced with fire as he cried out in pain. He tried desperately to get the hand off him, pulling, kicking, hitting, but it never eased up, nor did the pain. He felt like something was tearing him in half, ripping his muscles apart from the bone, fiber by fiber, and a well of fire erupting through his marrow. His lungs refused to inflate, his throat so tight that no air could get in or out. His chest was forced down with unbearable pressure as he felt his mind slowly slipping away.
His right hand shot out, attempting to find his tessen on the ground. He squinted his amber eyes as bolts of light danced around him, trying to grab the weapon that lay just out of reach. His fingers stretched to their limit and he felt the cold metal underneath them. His fingertips pressed down, trying to scoot it a little closer, but he only succeeded in drawing a cut from the sharp fold.
This is it... He thought. I'm dead, I can't stop him - he's just too strong. I've failed... Gomen, Hana-chan, Kouji, Miaka, minna... Chichiri... His eyes widened. No, I can't give up... if I do, he'll kill Chichiri! I can't let him!
His heart shone brightly, immersing the both of them in a deep red light. Tasuki grabbed Byakko's wrist in his burning hands and shouted the phrase that sang in his mind.
"M-moeru... HOSHI-!"

Somewhere in a dark alley on Earth, Taiyo felt her body growing weak and she crumpled into unconsciousness.

The world flashed out of sight around him, nothing but a bright red, security and warmth. Yet he felt something tearing at him from the inside. A familiar part of him seemed to die, as well as a cooler, less known presence. That could only mean that he... was the last Seishi left...
His lip trembled faintly and he cried out into the void that carried him between worlds: "TASUKI-KUN!!!"

Chapter 1: Preparations
Yes! I have finally finished the first book! Ureshii~! Now, I only got a butt load of other chapters to finish until I'm done. Ye-haw... Man... Anyway, I know some of you had noticed by now that these names and attacks that I made up are Japanese and not Chinese. Well I have a very simple explanation for that. I don't know no Chinese, so there. I'm sorry if the ending seemed kinda rushed, but this chapter was getting too long. Thanks for being so patient and I'll try the get the next chapter up soon!
