Part 7

The Ronins were walking on the sidewalk to the Condor building. They had Mia drop them off at the entrance to the college. It was a Sunday and not a single student was in sight.

“Good thing we’re doing this on a Sunday. If this meeting turns ugly, then we don’t have to worry about students nearby getting hurt.” says Cye as he looked around. The others nod. After five minutes of walking they reached the Condor building. It was the tallest building they have seen at the college. And one feature that made it different from the other buildings was that it had a black roof instead of a white one.

Ryo went up the stairs and knocked on the door. The four other Ronins stayed close behind him.

*Creak*

The door opened, revealing man with dirty brown hair.

“Ah yes, your just in time. Please come in. My name is Tim.” says the man as he leaves the door open and turns around. He walks down the hallway.

Ryo looked over his shoulder at the others and shrug. All five walk in and follow the man down the hallway.

A few blocks away...

Mia and Nanko started walking to the Condor building after giving the Ronins a ten minute head start. Their were bandages on both Nanko’s foot and torso.

“Ouch...ouch...ouch...ouch...” repeated Nanko over and over again with each step he took.

“Do you have to do that?” asked Mia as she kept looking ahead.

“Well if somebody didn’t treat me like a punchingbag maybe I wouldn’t.”

“I said I was sorry and stop whining. The doctor said that fractured rib would heal in no time.”

When they finally saw the Condor building, they quickly ran to the side of the building.

“Now we just have to figure out where the guys are in this huge place.” says Mia as she looked up. The building had to have six floors at least.

Nanko raised his ear as if listening to something.

“Their on the third floor. We can see through that window up there.” says Nanko as he points to one of the windows.

“And how are we suppose to get up there.” says Mia as she notices how high up the window is.

“First get your armor on. This is as good a time as any to do that.”

Mia nods and then holds her hands out.

“Armor of HeavenLight, Tao Chi!”

Mia spins in the air three times.

*Flash*

And then lands on the ground dressed in silver. She twirls her spear expertly and gives Nanko a grin.

“Don’t get cocky. You still have a long way to go in training. Now watch.”

Nanko places his staff on the ground horizontally. With a motion of his hand the staff raises up in the air. He sits on it and then gestures to Mia to do the same.

“You’ve got to be joking. That’s going to keep us from falling on the ground?” says Mia as she eyes the floating staff.

“It’ll hold. Trust me.” says Nanko with a grin.

Mia reluctantly gets on and the staff floats to the window Nanko had pointed to.

Inside the Condor Building...

Tim and five Ronins had taken the stairs to the third floor. When they attempted to question Tim he politely requests that they reach their destination first. He was so polite in fact that it unsettled Ryo. Finally they reached what appeared to be a dining room. A large table with several oak wood chairs stood before them. Their was also several paintings and a statue made of black gem. On the table were all sorts of food. Including a large turkey. Kento started to look at the food with interest while licking his lips.

“Later” muttered Cye as he kept his eyes on Tim.

“Ok, Tim. Enough of this. We know you EC Brothers are connected to the now deceased Talpa. We want to know how.” says Ryo as he got ready to fight.

A door on the other side of the room opened and a man wearing a black coat stepped in.

“Greetings, I’m Master Cane. You did very well Tim.”

“Thank you Master Cane.” says Tim as he stepped farther away from the Ronins.

“I really don’t want to have this battle in my home. Theirs no need to get the good furniture destroyed after all. How about we go someplace else.”

“And what place would that be?” asked Rowen.

“I thought you’d never ask.” says Master Cane with a evil grin and then he closes his eyes. As he does so three demon soldiers come in from through the door behind Master Cane. They form a protective circle around him as he chants.

“Ah man, not this again.” muttered Kento as all five Ronins charged.

A Trip, To the world I crafted with my two hands
A Trip, To the reality that my mind formed
A Trip, To the place that makes my soul sing
Take us to my Limbo World!

Dark Crystal I ask for your Power!

The statue made of black gem vibrated. The Ronins started to fade away before they could reach the demon soldiers. Master Cane did the same. Soon both of them were gone.

The Ronins watched as their surroundings turned black. Then they appeared to be engulfed a grayish fog.

“Guys we got to stick together. Where are you?” shouted Ryo as he looked around. All he could see was more gray fog. He looked down on the ground and would swear that the floor itself was gray as well.

“I’m over here!” shouted Rowen.

“And I’m here!” shouted Sage.

With much shouting they finally found each other.

“What is this weird place?” says Cye as he looked around.

“Your grave.”

All five Ronins turned towards the voice. Master Cane stood there with a dozen demon soldiers surrounding him.

“Time to armor up.” muttered Ryo as he got in position. The others followed suit.

“Armor of Wildfire, Tao Jin!”

“Armor of Halo, Tao Chi!”

“Armor of Strata, Tao Inochi!”

“Armor of Hardrock, Tao Gi!”

“Armor of Torrent, Tao Shin!”

In a combination of cherry blossoms and lights the Ronins became enamored.

“This should be quick.” says Sage with a grin as he draws out his sword.

“Let’s take these guys out fast. We don’t want anymore strange surprises.” says Ryo as he and the others attack.

“You may find that taking them out ‘fast’ will be harder than you think.” says Master Cane as he watches the battle about to begin.

Back at Condor Building...

“Well I hope they do ok. Where ever they went.” says Nanko. He and Mia had seen the whole incident from outside.

“Limbo World... I heard of that somewhere.” mutters Mia as she tries to think of where she heard the word.

Now I remember! That phrase the guy said was in the spell book I read. The spell book I used to get into that giant mess of being a Princess. A Limbo world is actually a world that a spell caster can make if his very powerful. But why would he want to take the guys to a world he created?

“If I remember right, the book said that Limbo worlds had to be sustained by a large power source to exist... What would that be?” muttered Mia to herself.

“Huh?” says Nanko as he looked over at Mia.

Mia looked through the window again. What ever the power source was, it had to be nearby when they were transported to the Limbo world.

Could it be the painting? Maybe... The turkey? No, definitely not... The statue.. Wait a minute. The statue is moving.

“Nanko does that statue look like it’s moving to you?” asked Mia as she placed one foot against the staff.

“Hmmm, actually yeah. Why do you ask?” says Nanko as the looks over at Mia.

“Just hang tight to your stick. I need to go in there for a sec.” says Mia. She pushed herself with one foot away from the staff.

“Aaakkk!” cried Nanko as he hung on to his staff in desperation. It shakes from the push Mia gave it. Mia flies through air and hits the window.

*Crash!*

Glass sprays everywhere. Mia rolls as she hits the ground and quickly gets up. She knew she needed to get her goal accomplished before the demon soldiers could get to her. She runs to the statue and gets ready to stab it with one quick thrust of her spear.

*Zing!*

A flash of red light blinds Mia before she is thrown away from the statue. It felt like an invisible fist had just punched her in the chest.

“Stop her!” shouts Tim as Mia gets up. The three demon soldiers charged her.

Ok, so the statue is protected. My special technique should take care of that.

Mia positions herself to throw her spear. She dramatically throws the spear at the statue while shouting the words that she had said last time.

“Ray of Light, Strike!” cries Mia as she watches her spear go through the air. Their was a flash of red light and then the spear fell pathetically to the ground.

“Why won’t it work...” mutters Mia as she stared at the spear.

Two of the demon soldiers grabbed her arms while one stood behind her.

“You’re that one who spoiled Nicholas’s plan. Nice try, destroying the statue. What is your name by the way?” says Tim as he gives a polite smile.

“Leono of HeavenLight.” muttered Mia miserably.

It doesn’t matter anyway. The guys can probably handle whatever their hit with in Limbo world.

In the Limbo world...

“Sage look out!” shouted Cye as a demon soldier swung at Sage with a mace from behind. Sage tried to dodge, but moved to slowly. As it hit his back he rolls away and gets up. Luckily his armor took most of the blow, but his back felt extremely sore now. The Ronins were not doing good. They were able to take out half the soldiers in the first five minutes. But soon they began to feel sluggish and weak. It was as if something was draining the life from them.

“I think we should end this now. Something is making us weaker and we need to take them out before all our strength is gone.” says Sage as he raised his sword up.

Thunderbolt Cut!

Sage’s sword glowed green as he swung it at the demon soldiers. But only a few green sparks flowed from his sword and hit them. The soldiers completely ignored the tiny green sparks.

“Guys, my special technique isn’t working.” says Sage in alarm.

“Let me try.” says Kento as he pushes a demon soldier away.

Iron Rock Crusher!

The ground shook a little. And then nothing else happened.

“How’s his doing this?” says Cye as he barely dodges a demon soldier’s blow.

“It’s quite simple really. We are in my Limbo world. A place that has none of the five elements that your armor draws power from. Without those elements, your armors become weaker which makes your fighting skill weaker.” says Master Cale as he smiled smugly.

“Theirs no fire or lava, no oceans or rivers, no sun or light, no earth or stone, and not even stars and sky in this world. Your armors have nothing to draw power from.”

“We have to call the Inferno Armor.” says Ryo. The other Ronins nod.

*Ding!*

Each Ronin’s armor glowed. Master Cane continued to watch the Ronins calmly. Four beams of energy shot out from four of the Ronins and hit Ryo.

In Condor Building...

Lilly tried once again to open the door, but it was locked tight. And their were no windows either. She once again looked in the mirror and the thought once again came to her mind.

What did those jerks do to me. How did they make me look different?!

Lilly once had golden blonde hair. Now it was pearl white. Lilly didn’t mind much that her hair was a different color. She actually liked it. It was the eyes though that she hated.

Lilly use to have beautiful sky blue eyes. Everyone always told her how pretty they were. Especially her Daddy...

Now they were ruby red. And sometimes Lilly could almost swear that they were glowing if she looked at them long enough in the mirror.

*Ding*

Lilly looked around. She couldn’t help, but wonder where that sound had come from.

*Woosh*

Lilly looked in horror as her hands caught on fire. She didn’t feel any pain, but the fire scared her. The fire always scared her...

“Stop it! No fire! I don’t want any fire!” shouted Lilly. As she said the words the fire seemed to get smaller on her hands.

“No more fire! Go away!” cried Lilly as her words seemed to have an effect on the flames. The flames disappeared in a few seconds.

Lilly walked to the bed in the room and cried herself asleep.
