Dynamite
Part 4
“Oh ladies! Where are you?” shouted Kento as he was nearly skipping in the woods.
“We’re not in the center of the woods yet Kento.” says Cye as he looks around.
“Why were you so set on Mia not knowing about the five beautiful invitations we met at the food court?” asked Sage as he looked over at Ryo.
Before Ryo could respond Kento spoke.
“Are you kidding? Then she would go on and on of how we were sexist pigs and how we had the brains of dogs.”
“And she would pretty much be right.”
All five Ronins looked around trying to find the source of the voice. Two figures stepped out from behind a large tree. The Ronins instantly took fighting postures. The first figure was a young man with black hair. A single white streak flowed through his hair. It was the second a figure that caused the Ronins to get ready for battle. It was a demon soldier that looked exactly like the ones Talpa often used.
“Who are you?” says Ryo as he studied the man.
“I’m Nicholas of the EC Brothers. I’m afraid the girls couldn’t make it. So I brought along this guy to help give you a warm welcome.” says Nicholas as he smiled at the Ronins.
“Yeah, well get ready to say good bye to the ‘this guy’ because we’ve taken out dozens of guys like him with no problem.” says Rowen with smile of his own.
“Wait a minute! Everyone stop!” shouted Kento.
The Ronins and two others looked over to him.
“Are you saying that theirs absolutely no way that those girls are showing up? Could you give me their phone numbers before we beat the crap out of you?” says Kento as he gets a paper and pencil out.
Cye rolls his eyes and shakes his head.
“Uuummm no, oh and this soldier isn’t here to fight you. His here to guard you after I capture you.” says Nicholas as he takes long curved knife. He quickly unrolled his sleeves, revealing arms criss-crossed with scars.
“Let’s take him out before he does anything.” says Ryo as he sprints towards Nicholas. The others quickly followed.
Nicholas did something that none of the Ronins expected. He slashed his own arm, causing it to spray blood. He quickly dripped a little of it in front of him while chanting.

Life Blood, I ask for your Power!
*Boom*
Flames burst from the ground in front of Nicholas. The Ronins halted their charge as they came close to getting burned. The flames began forming a circle around Nicholas as he made strange gestures. Even though he was extremely close to the flames, they didn’t seem to bother him at all.
“I may be too hot for you to handle.” says Nicholas as he stood behind the fire.
“Ryo let’s change into our armor now and take him out. It’s best not to take chances since we don’t know how powerful he is.” says Sage while giving Nicholas a wary look.
“Ok guys. Let’s go!” says Ryo as he got ready.
“Armor of Wildfire, Tao Jin!”
“Armor of Halo, Tao Chi!”
“Armor of Strata, Tao Inochi!”
“Armor of Hardrock, Tao Gi!”
“Armor of Torrent, Tao Shin!”
Their was a cloud of cherry blossoms and then each Ronin was now wearing his armor.
As each one changed into his armor, Nicholas took a black ribbon from his pocket. He quickly cut it in half with a flick of his knife. Sage studied the ribbon. It seemed familiar...
Where did I see a ribbon like that recently? The badges!
Sage looked down on his chest and could see that the badge was still on him. Sage quickly dropped his sword.
“Guys forget him, get-”
*Ding*
Where there used to be five Ronins, their were now five stone statues. Each one wearing a black badge. Sage could be seen reaching for his as the others looked at him.
“Oh Ronins, your so predictable. Once you changed into your armor, you were doomed. I call those ‘badges’ you are wearing Elemental Leeches. They are actually draining power from your armors in order to sustain the spell that has turned you into stone. It took me a year to make all five, but it was worth it. It was a little thing that I made for Lord Talpa in hopes that he would make me leader of the EC Brothers, but he simply laughed. I wonder what he would say now...”
Nicholas quickly turned around and faced the demon soldier. The flames that had surrounded him disappeared.
“Kill anyone that comes near here. I’ll be back soon.” says Nicholas as he went north.
A few hundred feet away...
“Ugh! I think I stepped in some squirrel poop.” says Nanko as he began brushing his foot against the grass.
“Be quite, I think we’re almost there.” whispered Mia as she continued following the tracks. She looked up and could make out six figures ahead. She quickly grabbed Nanko’s hand and dragged him behind a tree.
“What do you see?” whispered Nanko.
“It looks like five statues and a guy in armor. Those statues look like... they’re the guys! And I recognize that armored man. That’s a demon soldier.” whispers Mia as she peeks from behind the tree.
“What do we do?”
“I guess it’s time for a test run on the Heavenlight armor.” says Mia as she gets ready to call upon it.
“You’re not ready yet. You don’t know any fighting moves. The armor will help, but it’s no good if the demon soldier has ten times the fighting skill that you have.”
“I don’t have a choice. If I don’t do something then the guys are going to be in big trouble. It’s up to me.” whispers Mia stubbornly.
“Sigh, ok. But first you should know a few more things. Your armor gets power from the element of Light just like the Armor of Halo. And your special technique is based on elemental Light power as well.”
“That’s it! I’ll just use my special technique. That should take care of the demon soldier. Quick, what’s my special technique?”
“Um, I don’t know.” muttered Nanko.
“You...Don’t...Know!” says Mia as she nearly shouts the words. The demon soldier looks towards their direction.
“The Armor of Heavenlight hasn’t been used for nearly eighty years. I never saw it’s special technique used. Just go out there and wing it.” says Nanko as he pushed Mia away from the tree. The demon soldier was now moving in their direction with malice in his eyes.
“Great, ok demon soldier. Get ready to face the Mia the terrible!”
“Armor of Heavenlight, Tao Chi!”
Mia was once again lifted in the air and began spinning.
*Flash*
The transformation was quicker this time and Mia found herself on the ground with spear in hand. The demon soldier wielded a huge club made out of steel. It expertly swung the club at Mia as she clumsily tried to parry the blow.
Nanko watched the duel with frustration. It was obvious that the armor was making Mia both more agile and stronger, but so far she was barely able to fend off the first few blows.
She’s not ready for this! I wish the Gin were here to tell me what to do. They still haven’t talked to me yet... Stop sulking Nanko! You have to do something before Mia becomes splattered. As a Monk of Gin, it’s my job to help her.
With that thought Nanko raised his hand and his staff appeared in the air.
I’m definitely no good at this! Uhoh, here he comes at me again.
Mia was barely able to dive away in time as the club almost hit her head. Unfortunately the club hit her spear and it flew from her hands to the ground.
Mia slowly backed away as the demon soldier raised his club at her menacingly.
*Ring!*
“Aaahhggg...”
It was the first sound that the demon soldier had made since Mia and Nanko saw it. It grabbed the sides of it’s head as if hearing the sound caused it pain.
*Ring!*
The demon soldier gave a growling sound as it turned around and saw Nanko. He held his staff in both hands and continued to shake it which caused a harmonic ring to fill the air. His face was pale white as the demon soldier approached him. As Mia picked up her spear the demon soldier swung once at Nanko. The club connected with the staff, sending it flying through the air. It also caused Nanko to fall to the ground. Mia knew her only chance to stop the demon soldier from hitting Nanko was to hit the demon soldier first. She took the best posture she could as she prepared to throw her spear.
Nanko’s trying to save me. I can’t let that thing hurt him. I’m his only...
A white symbol appeared on Mia’s forehead.
Hope!
Ray of Light, Strike!
The words flowed from Mia’s lips as she threw the spear in one fluid motion. The spear became encompassed in a ray of white light as it flew through the air becoming a bolt of white energy. The bolt of energy went through the demon soldier’s torso, leaving a gaping hole. The demon soldier paused in his attempt to bash Nanko and looked down at the hole now in his chest. It stupidly looked at Nanko and then vanished as it’s whole body turned into smoke.
“See? You could wing it just fine.” says Nanko weakly as he got up.
“That was the most stupid thing you’ve ever done! Don’t ever do something like that again! Understand?” shouted Mia as she stomped towards Nanko.
“Ok ok.” muttered Nanko sheepishly as he went to pick up his staff.
“Are.. are the guys ok? Their not dead, are they?” said Mia as she looked at the statues with fear in her eyes.
Before Nanko could answer a sharp pain entered his head.
Remove the badges the Ronins wear
And the spell that holds them will tear
“Well it’s about time.” muttered Nanko as he rubbed his head.
“Hmmm”
“Oh nothing, take off those badges on them to turn them to flesh. And remember not to tell them who you are.”
“Nanko as soon as they see my face they’ll know it’s me.”
“Trust me, just don’t tell them.”
“Ok...” says Mia as she began taking badges off each Ronin. The stone turned into flesh and metal with in a few minutes.
“-your badges off!” cried Sage as he reached for his. But then realized that it was gone. All five Ronins then noticed the girl in silver armor.
“Hey what happened?” says Rowen as he looked around.
“I found all five of you guys here turned to stone. You were being guarded by some demon soldier. But I took care of him. When we took off those badges you guys turned back to normal.” says Mia as she waits for them to shout at her. They weren’t going to be happy that she fought a demon soldier.
“We?” says Cye as he looks around.
It’s just then that Mia notices that Nanko has disappeared.
“Who are you?” ask Ryo as he studies Mia.
“Who..I mean don’t you... uh...” says Mia. That was the last thing she expected to hear. As she tried to get her thoughts together, Sage spoke.
“Why don’t we introduce ourselves to her first, I’m Sage of the Halo.” says Sage as he gives a bow.
“I’m Ryo of Wildfire.” says Ryo as he bows his head.
“I’m Cye of Torrent.” says Cye as he gives a shy smile.
“I’m Kento of Hardrock, the strongest!” says Kento as he holds up an arm to show off his muscles.
“I’m Rowen of Strata.” says Rowen as he looks at Mia with curiosity.
“Um my name is... Leono of Heavenlight.” says Mia as she says the first name she can think of. It was the name of her double’s ancestor who had slayed Talpa.
Oh good one Mia. How can these guys not recognize me!? Is it so hard to imagine me in a suit of armor fighting just like them. All I have is a circlet on my head. They have a full view of my face. And where is that damn Nanko!
